Elizabeth Frye was the sixth and last child of George Frederick Frye and Louisa Catherine Denny Frye. She was called "Diddie" by her family. She was a talented pianist and attended the University of Washington. On January 16, 1907, she married Virgil Newton Bogue in Seattle. For a time the couple lived in Prince George, British Columbia, while Virgil pursued interests in the lumber business.
