Ida was known as a beautiful belle of Atlanta. She had been raised in a very prominent family.
Ida Erwin Howell and Robert Barringer Cramer were married June 26, 1895, in Atlanta, Georgia. Robert Cramer was a journalist for the Philadelphia Times. He was born July 1871 in Rhinebeck, New York, the son of James Allen Cramer and Christine Louisa Barringer Cramer.
Ida had one child from her first marriage to Robert Barringer Cramer, Louise B. Cramer, b. 1896, d. 1970. (Louise's grave location is unknown to me.)
Robert and Ida divorced in 1902, Atlanta, Fulton Co., Georgia, according to an article published in the Atlanta Constitution on December 9, 1902.
She remained single for many years, continuing on with her social life in Atlanta, raising her daughter Louise.
Dr. R. George McAliley and Ida were married January 15, 1919 in Atlanta, Georgia, at the home of her brother, Clark Howell.
They continued living in Atlanta, where Dr. McAliley maintained his medical practice.
