H. N. WEBB RITES OBSERVED
Funeral services for Henry Nathan Webb, 70, were conducted Tuesday afternoon at Waggener and Campbell Chapel with Major James Broad of the Salvation Army officiating.
Burial was in Conrad Memorial Cemetery with R. H. Mackay, Oscar O. Redalen, John McCauley, Alvin C. Wagner, Newton J. Jones and Carl M. Wiley as pallbearers.
Henry Nathan Webb was born March 17, 1883, a son of Nathan W. and Anna Webb at Lamertine, Wis. He spent his early youth there and later was employed by the Northwestern Railroad at Fond du Lac, Wis. In October, 1908, he came to the Flathead and was employed by the Great Northern as a switchman in Whitefish. He retired as a switchman in November, 1945.
On Jan. 25, 1911, he married Cora Dewar at Kalispell. He and his wife made their home in Whitefish until two years ago when they moved to Columbia Falls where he died March 3.
Mr. Webb was ordained a minister of the Brethren Church and was the pastor of the Brethren Church of Whitefish for 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, three sisters, one brother and a daughter. Surviving him are his widow at their home in Columbia Falls; four sisters, Lottie Taylor of Kimberly, Ida.; Lucile Pickens of Reno, Nev.; Esther Lane and Myrtle Kimbell both of Wisconsin; three brothers, George E. Webb of Minneapolis, Minn., and Leon and Warren Webb both in Wisconsin; his mother, Anna Webb of Kimberly, Ida.; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Raffel of Waukesha, Wis., and Mrs. Myrtle Cousineau of Kalispell; one son, Bert Webb of Chicago; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
