Since January of this year, he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Isabelle Evans of Blue Lake. He was a member of Arcata Masonic Lodge No. 106 and the Order of Eastern Star No. 207, and had been chapter "dad" of the Order of DeMolay for eight years. He was a past vice-president of the [?]es' association.
He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Isabelle Evans of Blue Lake, and a granddaughter, Rosalind Evans of Blue Lake.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the Episcopal church in Arcata, with the Rev. Kenneth Samuelson officiating and Paul's Chapel in charge of arrangements. Masonic rites will be conducted at Ocean View Cemetery and inurnment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
