Death:	Jun. 11, 1947 Bellport Suffolk County New York, USA
US Congressman. He was judge of the district court in the 15th judicial district of Iowa from 1894 until he resigned in 1911. In 1911, he was elected as a Republican to the Sixty-second Congress to fill the vacancy by the resignation of Walter I. Smith. He was reelected to the Sixty-third and to the seven succeeding Congresses and served until he resigned in 1928.
