Lynn Henry Barbour, 87, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, in his Indiana Veterans Home residence. Born in Lafayette June 6, 1919, in Lafayette, to the late Ray R. and Mary Killian Barour, he was a lifelong resident. He and Margaret Wilson were married on Dec. 9, 1943, at Roachdale, IN; she died Aug. 19, 1992.

Mr. Barbour was a storekeeper at Purdue University for 12 years, and before that did press-setup for Lafayette Printing Co. A World War II veteran of the 8th Air Force, he served as a first lieutenant and was a prisoner of war. He was award the Purple Heart and Distinguished Cross for his service. He was a member of Linnwood Church of Christ, American zlegion Post 11, and Masonic Lodge 123.

Surviving are a son, David L. (wife Glenda) Barbour of Prosperity, SC; two daughters, Madonna (husband James) Speck of Trego, WI, and Margaret (husband Lynford) Ellett of Kemmerer, WY; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother, Robert Harbour; and sister, Evelyn Long.
