Mattie Adams was the fourth child of William Coleman (Bill) Adams and his wife, Mary Ann Myers Adams. She and Johnathan S. Bugg were married in 1880 in Hickman County, Kentucky. Their children were Gertrude Lee Bugg Crabtree, Charlotta M. (Lottie) Bugg Schlayer and James Lonzo Bugg. She died in Cedar Grove Nursing Home at the age of 86.
