Catherine Arnette Foster, 89, of Danville and formerly of Gibson City, died at 6:05 a.m. Tuesday Aug. 23, 2016, at North Logan Health Care Center in Danville.
Mrs. Foster was born Dec. 4, 1926 in Farmer City, a daughter of Othar Ray and Gladys May Smock.
Surviving are four sons, Dave (Wilma) Arnette, Lance (Pam) Arnette, Brett (Chellene Donnell) Arnette and Bruce Arnette; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Sue Ann; a son, Steve; a great-grandson Dawson and her siblings.
Catherine worked as a cook and a butcher most of her life. She enjoyed gardening, bingo and Elvis.
