Born to James Larkin Prestridge and Cynthia Margaret Wright, Lola May Prestridge met and married Charles Gilbert Gardner Sr. on March 4, 1935. They were both working at a Dairy Farm in Deming, New Mexico. Lola worked as a domestic before becoming a wife and mother. Her and her husband's hobbies were hunting, fishing, camping, rock and arrow head hunting as well as cooking, picnicing and taking photographs. She had an infectious laugh and loved to tease. She was a hugger and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her favorite flowers were red roses and she grew the most beautiful ones I have ever seen. I knew her as Grandma Gardner.
