My great, great grandfather. He was a Civil War Union Soldier, mustered in as a Private in Company F, 11th New Jersey Volunteer Infantry on June 13, 1862. He promoted to Corporal on July 1, 1864, served through the end of the conflict, and was honorably mustered out on June 6, 1865.

He was born, and died, in Hightstown, New Jersey. He was a son of Theodore and Sarah (Hart) Wilson. His siblings were Margaret, Frances B., David H., Elizabeth, and Robert S. He married Martha A. Vandergrift on 29 Dec 1866 in Frankford, Pennsylvania. Their children are William Francis, Amos P., Emma Clara (Wilson) Anderson, Mary Ella (Wilson Anderson) Stahl (my great grandmother), and Howard Alonzo.
