Chester Scrogham, age 79 of Waddy, died Thursday, August 3, 2006 at Jewish Hospital Shelbyville. He was a butcher, member of Harrisonville Pentecostal Holiness Church and son of the late Jonas R. and Emma Jane Redmon Scrogham.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Scrogham, Waddy; three sons: Leroy Scrogham, Waddy; Dennis Scrogham, Shelby County; Mark Scrogham, Conway, Arkansas; five daughters: Linda McClease and Lorita Edwards, both of Shelby County; Kathy Kastor, Henryville, Indiana; Deanna Chesser, Mt. Eden; Dawn Michelle Steele, Louisville; 27 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services were held at Harrisonville Pentecostal Church on Sunday, August 6. Rev. Randall Burgin, Bro. Mark Scrogham, Bro. Jonathan Burdine and Bro. Jerry McClease officiated. Interment was in Pigeon Fork Cemetery, Shelby County.
Shannon Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
