WINNIE H. CROSS
Winnie H. Cross, 74, of Chunks Brook Road, Sandgate, died unexpectedly at his home there Tuesday.
Born in Arlington on Sept 12, 1903, the son of Hiram and Evelyn (Warner) Cross, he had worked as a boiler engineer in West Arlington, and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include four sisters; Hallie Crandall and Gertrude Adams, both of Troy, N.Y., Catherine Millard of Valley Falls, N.Y., and Victoria Johnston of Shaftsbury; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 am from the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home in Arlington with the Rev. David Andrews, pastor of the East Arlington Federated Church, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, and if they desire, contributions in his memory may be made to the Arlington Rescue Squad through the office of the funeral home.
