Thaddeus Joseph Dulski

US Congressman. He attended local parochial schools, Canisius College, and the University of Buffalo. Dulski was employed by the Treasury Department's Bureau of Internal Revenue from 1940 to 1947, except for Army service during World War II. He then worked as an accountant and tax consultant and became a special agent in the Price Stabilization Administration in 1951. He served on the Buffalo City Council from 1953 to 1958. Dulski was elected to the US House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1958 and reelected seven times, serving from 1959 to 1974. He was Chairman of the Committee on Post Office and Civil Service from 1967 to 1974. In the mid 1970s he was a Special Assistant to Governor Hugh Carey, with whom he had served in Congress. Dulski then retired to Buffalo, where he resided until his death from leukemia. (bio by: Bill McKern)
