Mrs. Minnie Tennis, 80, of 115 Third Avenue West, died Wednesday at Tower Park Nursing Home, where she had resided for a little more than one month.
Born September 21, 1888, in Wapello County, she was the daughter of Albert D. and Polly Thompson Rickett.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Clyde (Margaret) Allgood of Oskaloosa, Route Five; two sons, Herbert of Longmont, Colo., and Albert of Blakesburg; 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Amanda Hamilton of Oskaloosa and Mrs. Pauline Dickey of Keosauqua.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Garland Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Merrill D. Summerbell of Central United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery.
