AGED BURG RESIDENT DIED MONDAY A.M.
James B. Kifer, 87 years old and one of Johnsonburg's pioneer residents, died Monay at 6:10 a.m. of infirmities of old age in St. Mary's hospital where he was a patient a few days.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Ubel Funeral Parlor in charge of Dr. C.C. Mohney, pastor of the Methodist churches, with interment in Wardvale.
Pall bearers were Charles Dill, James Flannigan, Peter McAlee, Edward Thomas, Glen Willow and Charles McCarthy.
Mr. Kifer was born in Clarion county May 4, 1858. He had lived here for a long time and was retired from the Castanea mills a number years ago.
Survivors are his children, Charles Kifer, 105 Julia St., with whom he made his home, also Phil Kifer and Mrs. Roy Anderson, both of Cleveland; also one sister, Mrs. Viney Leslie, Erie; and a brother, William Kifer, Warren, and thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
