Yaryan, Ralph W. -WW1- Company F, 168th Infantry, Rainbow Division. DOB 01-30-1900 in St Joseph, Missouri, Entered Service 04-01-1917 from Clarinda, Iowa, Discharged 11-15-1918 at Camp Funstone, Kansas, DOD 10-15-1920 in Clarinda, Iowa. Age 20, Burial in Clarinda Cemetery, Clarinda, Iowa. Badly Gassed at Chateau Thierry, France on 07-26-1918, never fully recovered, Tuberculosis set in. Had he lived he would have had a brilliant future as a cartoonist, many of his clever works have been printed in local papers. Arrived home 02-12-1919. He arrived in Washington 11-15-1918. He was also wounded in the hand by an Explosion. Father - William Yaryan, Mother - Delia Yaryan.
