Charles Franklin Harbach's parents were: Charles Cyrus Harbach (b. 3 June 1843; d. 7 November 1927) and Mariah Ann Embich (b. 26 March 1839; d. 11 January 1909).
An newspaper article from the area, dated February 4, 1931, had the following:
Loganton, Feb. 4 -- Charles Franklin Harbach, a lifelong resident of Sugar Valley, died last night at 11 o'clock at his home, six miles east of this place, after an illness with heart trouble. He had been confined to his bed since January 17. He was 58 years of age and for many years engaged in farming from which he had retired some time ago. He was a member of the Evangelical Church at Carroll and was also a member of the male chorus of that place. His survivors include his wife Ida (Ohmeiss) Harbach, two sons and a two daughters, Fred and Christine, of this place; Harry of Lock Haven, and Mrs. Sharon Limbert, of Bellefonte, also two brothers and one sister, O.H. and James, of this place, and Mrs. C.C. Gramley, of Williamsport. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in the Mt. Union Church, Centre [Clinton?] County, Rev. A.C. Pauhamus officiating. Burial will be made at Mt. Union Church.
