A native of York Springs, he was a son of the late Peter and Barbara (Sheetz) Myers, and was a blacksmith. He was a member of the York Springs Lutheran Church and the York Springs Fire Co.
His first wife, Margaret Shultz, died in 1921, and his second wife; Alice Yohe, died in 1957.
Surviving are seven children: James Myers of New York City; Paul Myers of Winchester, Va.; Arthur Myers of Carlisle; Mrs. Ethel Sager of York Springs; Mrs. Mary Shirley of York Springs; and the Misses Mabel and Viola Myers at home.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren; and a brother: Elmer G. Myers of Collingswood, N.J.
Interment in Sunnyside Cemetery.
