Ralph W. Davis, 47, of 137 Broadway, Newburgh, husband of Bernice Dayton Davis, died at St, Luke’s Hospital on Saturday (April 13, 1963) after a long illness. Born in Pauling, Jan. 28, 1916, son of the late Alexander and Elizabeth Warden Davis, he had lived in Newburgh for 27 years, and was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. Besides his wife, survivors are two daughters, Lorretta, wife of Rudolph Battista, and Rose Marie Davis, both of Newburgh, one brother, Warden Masten of New Paltz; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Graham of Syracuse; one grand-daughter, Bridgette Ann Battista; several nieces and nephews. Funeral serves on Wednesday morning at 10 at Perrott’s Funeral Home, 1 Grand Ave. will be conducted by the Rev. G. Melbourne Jones, rector of the Church of the Good Shepherd. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
