Mrs. Angie Garriott Hoagland, 81 of New Castle, died Tuesday, July 12, 1983 at the Highland Baptist Hospital, Louisville. She was a member of the New Castle United Methodist Church.

She is survived by four daughters: Mrs. James (Emmy) Cunningham and Mrs. Maurice (Jane) Perkinson, both of New Castle, Mrs. Luther (Ann) Calloway, Leesburg, Georgia and Mrs. Lee (Frances) Agee, Lexington; six sons: Roy C. Hoagland, Jr., Middletown, James D. Hoagland, Route 1, Smithfield, John G. Hoagland, New Castle, Jerry P. Hoagland, Route 1, Smithfield, Dr. Larry Hoagland, Anchorage and Morton M. Hoagland, Danville; twenty-two grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 14th from Prewitt's New Castle. Rev. Fred Coburn, pastor of Assembly of God Church, Danville, officiated, assisted by Rev. Barclay Brown, pastor of the New Castle United Methodist Church. Interment was in the New Castle Cemetery.
