William Gorden Grow, 94, Cloquet, died Friday, April 1, 2005 in Lakeshore Lutheran Home, Duluth.

He was born February 16, 1911 in Princeton, MN, the son of John and Mary (Burke) Grow. He married Genevieve Gardner on October 24, 1934 in Mezpah, MN. William was employed by Burlington Northern Railroad for 40 years, retiring in 1974. Following his retirement, he moved from Sawyer to Cloquet. While living in Sawyer, he was a long-time member of St. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Genevieve on October 17, 2002, two brothers, Clarence and Richard Grow; four sisters, Rhea Tice, Lorene Tice, Mildred Boland and Ruth Grow and his parents, John and.

William is survived by his two daughters, Lois (Richard) Gleason of Cloquet and Frances (Warren) Kisling of Saratoga, CA; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 in St. Francis Catholic Church, Carlton with Father David Tushar officiating. Burial was in St. Edward's Catholic Cemetery, Princeton, MN. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet.
