Joanne was born in Wilmington on January 31, 1916, daughter of the late Nicola and Mary (Palese) Dragani. A devoted homemaker, she was a talented artist and possessed a great passion for art and art history. Joanne enjoyed volunteering as a docent with the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh, where she took great pride and joy in sharing her knowledge with tour groups.
Her husband, J. William Moffett, Jr. passed away on May 9, 2001. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Marguerite Thornley and Elinor Page; and her brother, Vincent Drake.
Joanne is survived by her nieces, nephews and their families.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, Chestnut Hill and Gender Roads, Newark on Wednesday, July 27 at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joanne may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
