Taylor - George W. Taylor, present Commander of the Siverd Post, died Tuesday evening at about nine o'clock at the home of his daughter Mrs. Mary E. Hoel on North Main street. Mr. Taylor has been in very poor health for some time and about two weeks ago suffered a paraletic stroke. He was born in Kentucky state 83 years ago. He came to Winfield fifteen years ago, from Dexter where he had lived for many years. He is survived by six children, W.D. and O.M. Taylor of Dexter, Lewis and Jesse of Winfield and Mrs. Mary E. Hoel and Mrs. N.M. Archer of Winfield.
The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at one o'clock at the Christian church, the old Soldiers will be in charge and the body will be taken to Dexter for burial.
