Preserved Morse Sr. was born about 1810 in Ohio. When he came to Dyer, Arkansas, he purchased a lot of land. He then donated the land for the first school building here. "Old Valley School" which was on what we now know as the Dave Morse property. It was just a one room building but was used until a frame building was build in Dyer near where the Baptist Church is today. He was married 3 times and had a total of 17 children. He died about 1878.
