Glade Lavern Patterson was born on Monday, June 24, 1918 at Woodward, Woodward County, Oklahoma the second child of Arney Russell and Ethel Isabella King Patterson. Glade Lavern "Pat" Patterson and Ethel Edith Folk were married on May 28, 1939 at the United Methodist Church in Aztec, New Mexico. To this union was born thee children: Milderd Kay born August 31, 1941, Dennis Lee born December 27, 1946, Robert Edward born July 10, 1954. They lived in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, San Bruno, California, Manilla, Phillippine, Islands and Redding, California. Glade died December 25, 1997 at the Hospital in Redding California. He had emphysema for several years. At the time of his death he weight on 98 pounds. He is cremated and his ashes are at the Mount Shasta Cemetery near Redding, California. This note was compiled by Bessie Lou Patterson McDowell from information given by Vera Nadine Patterson Lawson and Wilma Jean Patterson Kaime of Aztec, New Mexico.

Glade "G. L." "Pat" Lavern Patterson, a resident of Palo Cedra, died December 25th in Mercy Medical Center of natural causes. He was 79.
He was born June 24, 1918 in Woodward, Woodward County, Oklahoma and moved to Siskiyou County in 1979 from Fort Bragg.
He was owner operator of "big" Sporting and Liquor in Dunsmuir for 17 years.
He was the concesionaire at Lake Siskiyou Campground for 1976-78.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Patterson, of Palo Cedro; his sons, Robert Edward Patterson, of San Francisco, and Dennis Lee Patterson, of Foster City, Calfornia; his daughter, Kay Young, of Redding; his sisters, Vera Lawson, of Lordsburg, New Mexico, and Wilma Jean Kaime, of Councilor, New Mexico; and three grandchildren.
Memorial services were conducted on January 3rd with burial at Mount Shasta Cemetery.
