Frank Kifer died at home here Sunday morning - had been ill for past six months - was 57.

Frank Kifer, well known Johnsonburg resident, died Sunday morning at his home on Bridge street after an illness of six months.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home by the Rev. Myron V. Hulse, pastor of St. Martin's Church. Interment will be made in Wardvale cemetery by the side of his wife who died a few years ago.
Mr. Kifer was born at Vowinkle, Pa., and was 57 years old. He was employed at the Castanea Paper Co. for a number of years.
He is survived by three sons and three daughters, Kathryn, Elmer and Harold at home, Frank Kifer, Johnsonburg, Mrs. George Lamberson and Mrs. Stanley Besse of Kane, also his father J. B. Kifer, and two brothers and a sister, Charles Kifer of Johnsonburg, Phil Kifer and Mrs. Roy Anderson of Cleveland, Ohio.

Services for Frank H. Kifer conducted - died here Sunday following long illness

Funeral services in memory of Frank H. Kifer were held Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Myron Hulse, of St. Martin's church officiating. Burial was at Wardvale cemetery.
Frank H. Kifer was born in Gilfoyle, Forest county, July 10, 1883, a son of Mr. and Mrs. James B. Kifer. He attended school at Marienville and came to Johnsonburg after his marriage 35 years ago. He was preceded in death by his wife, five years ago.
The casket bearers were James Sullivan, Harry Barden, Louis Webber, Myles Sills, Robert Myers and William Pompe.
Out of town relatives and friends here were, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Anderson and son, Filmore Kifer, Cleveland; Mr. and Mrs. Scott Kifer, Pearle Kifer, Chester Kifer and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Heasley, Marienville; Miss Sara Kellog, Mrs. Chas. Besse, Mrs. Geo Lamberson, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Besse, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Lamberson, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Francis Theodore, Kane; C. H. Manning and son Paul, St. Marys, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bloomquist, Port Allegany.
