--Passed Away -- Mrs. Gertrude S. Sinclair, a resident for many years past, died at her home in this city yesterday morning. Deceased was the mother of Mrs. D S B Taylor, and sister of Mrs. Pringle, and Mrs. Moseley of this city, and of Mrs. W S Long [Lydia]and William and James Worthington all of whom are residents of Humboldt County. Funeral notice will be found elsewhere.
Contributor's note:Gertrude married Caleb Garrett 27 Feb, 1854 at Dixon, Lee County, Illinois. She traveled with her parents and new husband by wagon train across the plains from Wisconsin to Humboldt County in 1854. They had a daughter, Rebecca in 1855 in Eureka, California.
On Sept. 15, 1867 She married Cyrus Buck Sinclair in Eureka. She was widowed in 1873.
