He was preceded in detach by Alva Collins Copeland and Daisy Copeland, his siblings, Annette Copeland Bailey, Michael Copeland, and Sherwood Copeland, and a grandson, Daniel Jaspe.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Johnson Copeland, 2 children, David N. (Maria) Copeland and Ginger Copeland, 2 siblings, James Copeland, and Barbara Copeland Longsjo, 7 grandchildren, Dolan Jeremy Gerber, Aidan William Gerber, David N. Copeland, Jr., Suzette Nicole Copeland, Justin Vann Copeland, Javier Jaspe, and Alexander William Copeland, 3 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Copeland retired after 33 years at International Paper Company. He enjoyed fishing, was an avid reader, and enjoyed listening to classic country music.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 8, 2016, from 1-2 pm at Four Mile Creek Baptist Church, Hwy 613, Escatawpa. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, North Carrollton, MS.
