WILLIAMSPORT - JOSEPH CARSON ARTZ JR died at his home in Williamsport Sunday morning.
He was born in Hagerstown, the son of Joseph C Artz Sr and Minnie R Artz. He was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church, Williamsport., and Conococheague Tribe No. 84 Improved Order of Red Men.
He was employed for the past 15 years by the W D Byron Inc Tannery.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. June H Artz; one daughter, Mrs. Constance A Young, Hagerstown; two sons, Terry L Artz and Alan C Artz, both of Williamsport; seven sisters, Mrs. Lucille Poffenberger and Mrs. Barbara Breichner, both of Hagerstown; Mrs. Bonnie Grenier, Hershey, Pa; Mrs. Lupa Reidi, Philadelphia, Pa; Mrs. Faye Beam, Shingle House, Pa; Mrs. Margaret Smith, Abbington, Pa; Mrs. Helen Waddington, Jenkinstown, Pa; three brothers, Irvin Artz and Robert Artz, both of Hagerstown; and James Artz, Bakersville; also three grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday at Rehoboth United Methodist Church, Williamsport, with the Rev William F Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Williamsport.
