Frank Hostetter, 54, of Yoe, formerly of York, died at 10:32p.m., Tuesday, at Memorial Hospital. Following cremation, burial will be private in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. There will be no viewing. Workinger-Semmel Funeral Home and Crematorium, 849 E. Market St., York, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hostetter was born March 24, 1947, in York. He was the son of the late Walter and Alverta (Crone) Hostetter. He was a corrections officer at York County Prison for five years; prior to that, he was a substitute teacher at York County Vocational-Technical School for 19 years, where he taught welding, auto mechanics, diesel, carpentry, machine shop, small engine, electronics, cabinet-making, masonry, and building maintenance. He was a member of American Legion Post 605, in Dallastown, and West Manchester Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7374; a life member of Vietnam Veterans Post 35; and National Rifle Association; a 1965 graduate of William Penn Senior High School; and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Hostetter is survived by a son, Hostetter, of Windsor; a daughter, Talitha V. Hostetter, of Windsor; and two brothers, Walter Hostetter, Jr., of York; and Wilson N. Hostetter, of Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 2997 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion, 17356.
