Stella R. Horner Services Held Tuesday.
Funeral services for Stella R. Horner, 75, Ava, were held at 2 P.M. Tuesday at Clinkingbeard Chapel with the Revs. Bob Comer and Floyd Roberts officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery in Taney County.
A lifelong resident of Ava, Mrs. Horner died at approximately 3:45 P.M. Saturday, Feb 17 at her home following a sudden illness.
She was a housewife and a longtime member of Sandy General Baptist Church.
Born Feb. 25, 1914, at Alt, Colo., she was the daughter of William W. and Nellie (Hargis) Jennings. She married Leo Horner on June 26, 1937, at Santa Anna, Calif.
Survivors include her husband, Leo; one daughter, Ruth Ann Smith, Ava; two sons, Alan, Kansas City, and Steve, Olathe, Kan.; three sisters, Alice Honeycutt, Ava, Rose Cisco, Springfield, and Lois Dake, Mtn. Grove; four brothers, Raymond Jennings and Roy Jennings, both of Springfield, Truman Jennings, Modesto, Calif., and Lewis Jennings, Wichita, Kan.; and five grandchildren, Andy Smith, Allyson Horner, Samantha Horner, Marlana Horner and Kaitlin Horner.
Two brothers, Wilbert and Archie, preceded her in death.
