Verna Rosalin Cisler, 85
Age 85 of Stanton, died Friday November 10, 2006 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk. She was born January 19, 1921 at Surprise, Nebraska daughter of Fred & Martha (Oldigs) Liefer. She graduated Leigh High School in
Leigh, Nebraska and graduated Lutheran School of Nursing in St. Louis, Missouri as a Registered Nurse.
Verna worked as a Registered Nurse in St. Louis for a few months and returned to Nebraska to work at Fremont Hospital for a short time. She married William Cisler on August 22, 1946 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont, NE. Verna
farmed south of Stanton with her husband until they retired in mid 1980’s, they moved to Stanton in 1963. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1996. Verna enjoyed gardening, flower gardening, crocheting and needle work.
She was a member Faith Lutheran Church – Stanton; member Faith Lutheran Ladies Aid Verna Rosalin Cisler,
;member Stanton V.F.W. Auxiliary – Stanton; Past Member Leigh American Legion Auxiliary –Leigh, NE; Past member Rockettes Extension Club.
