ST. BERNICE - Hubert Ingram, 94, of St Bernice died at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb 2, 1998 in West Central Community Hospital in Clinton. He was a retired conductor for Chicago, Milwaukee, St Paul & Pacific Railraod.
He was born Sept 30, 1903 in Scottland, Ill to Lafe Ingram and Dell Harris Ingram. His first wife, Lila Mattson Ingram, died in 1948, and his second wife, Thelma Reynolds Ingram, died in 1993. Survivors include one daughter, Geraldine Jenkins of St Bernice; nine grandchildren, Gloria Hays of Seattle, Wash, John Jenkins of Terre Haute, Douglas Jenkins of Shelburn, Cheryle Smith and Lori Urbain of St Bernice, Arnold Jenkins Jr of Clinton, Charlotte Albers of Springbrough, Ohio and Melody Rogers and Stephanie Scott, both of Indianapolis; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one stepson, William Rogers, in 1990.
He was a member of Vermillion County Low 12, Jerusalem Lodge 99 Free & Accepted Masons, Clinton, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Lodge Council Chapter Consistory Valley of Terre Haute, and Jerusalem 254 Order of Eastern Star. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday in Karanovich Chapel, with the Rev. Larry Stover officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park in North Terre Haute. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today, with Masonic services at 7 p.m.
