After John's death she married Morgan Franklin Rogers on 25 July 1889 in Vienna, Maries County, Missouri. Morgan was a widower with several children of his own. Morgan and Josephine had no children together.
Morgan was also the uncle of Josephine's sister in law, Delinda Rogers Keeney, wife of James Ohio Keeney.
Morgan and Josephine left Missouri in early 1890, arriving in Colfax, Washington in March 1890. In 1897 they relocated to Idaho County, Idaho.
