Mr. Luther Shelton McRaney, 69, of Sontag passed away June 18, 2016 at Kings Daughters Medical Center.
He was born on July 5, 1946 to Ellis and Inez McRaney.
He was retired from the oilfield as a mechanic and served in the Navy during Vietnam.
Mr. McRaney enjoyed hunting, fishing and anything outdoors.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Roy McRaney; daughter, Louise McRaney Barham; grandson, Anthony Little Jr. and sister-in-law, Sharon McRaney.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda McRaney; daughter, Beverly McRaney Bridges and husband Shane, Melinda McRaney Jackson and husband Bert, Darlene Welch, and step-daughter, Robbie Little and husband Anthony; brother, Harold McRaney and sister, Mary Archer and husband Tony, step-son, Toby Reynolds.
He is also survived by 7 grandchildren Aileen Allen and husband Richie, Amber Roberts and husband Damon, Tanner Jackson, Gauge Herring, Reagan Herring and Ainsley Bridges and 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
