Son of Albert Claus Frisk and Matilda Joy Lindholm Frisk.

He was united in marriage with Mary Ellen "Ellie/Ella" Caudle on Jan. 16, 1911 in Norwood, Wright, Missouri.

They lived in Woodbine, Dickinson, Kansas, farming and that is where their 4 children were born. Ellie died in 1917 from Child Bed Fever days having her 4th child. His Mother came to Kansas from Missouri to help out and later went home with oldest daughter Hazel and 7 week old baby Grace, with the oldest child Ray being farmed out between Uncles and the 3rd daughter Vera went to friends or family until, when she went to live with her Grandmother at about age 5 or 6. Men then were not equipped to care for their children when they were very young. He was grieving and I'm sure that his separating them was at his mother's suggestion.

Their children are:

Ray Edward Frisk 1911-2007
Hazel Nellie Frisk Woodson 1913-2005
Vera Ellen Frisk Dodd 1915-2004
Grace Margaret Frisk Jones 1917-1996

Alvin married Ruth Hope DeCamp less than two years after being widowed on Mar 14, 1917. He and Ruth had 4 sons, one dying in infancy, youngest two being twins. He tired to have his other children with him at one point after the marriage, but it just didn't work out. After leaving Kansas they were up in Ohio where their 2nd son was born and died, then they moved to California, around the time he began working for the Gillette Ranch (more on that below). After about 11 years of marriage it ended. Ruth's father had gotten ill so she took just the 2 year old twins with her home to Arkansas. I'm told when she came back months later, Grandpa didn't allow her home and divorced her for leaving. It was said that Ruth was lazy with housework and cooking, and laid around a lot, come to find out she had a bad heart, causing her death at age 45. How she managed to bare 4 children is unknown.

Their children are:

Clifford Oscar Frisk 1920-2012
Glenn James Frisk 1923-1923
Clyde Lowell Frisk 1927-2016
Clarence Gilbert Frisk 1927-

Even though all 7 living children had hardships with not being with him full time, they all remained close to him.

ABOUT GILLETTE RANCH; For several years Alvin was care taker of the "King Gillette Ranch", some years in Tulare and then the Malibu one, where to this day there is a house called the "Frisk House", in Malibu where Grandpa use to live, on the Gillette property. Alvin also worked at share cropping and farm labor, also did some Lumber Jacking in Washington State, after the 1930's. In 1968 he moved to Arkansas and lived with daughter Vera and her family until his death from complations from Diabetes.
