Rosalie Jeanne Zimmermann Wertz was an outstanding designer, seamstress and dressmaker in Paris. Her customers were opera singers and other notables. Her husband Jacques was a textile designer and the Office of Broadway wanted him to come to New York.
Jacques with his wife Jeanne came to the United States with the understanding that they would return to Paris as soon as he made his fortune. Jeanne missed her beloved Paris and just prior to Jacques reaching his goal she died of pneumonia. Jacques fulfilled his promise and took his wife back to France to be buried at St Ouen Cemetery just outside of Paris.
They had two daughters Yvonne Albertini Louise (Wertz) Conord and Suzanne Claire (Wertz) Conord.
