Loretta Donahue funeral tomorrow

Funeral services are being held tomorrow, Feb. 28, at 11 a.m. from the St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Bowbells for Loretta Donahue, 83, longtime resident of the Flaxton area, who passed away at a Harvey hospital on Sunday, February 24th.

Fr. Joseph Adkins will officiate at the service. Cindy Gallier will be organist.

Casketbearers will be Guy Gumeringer, Hugh Donahue, Ivan Pedersen, Arnold Funk, David Legler and Jim Herman.

Interment will be made in the church cemetery.

Rosary recitation will be 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the church.

Visitation will be today, Feb. 27, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at
Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Bowbells.

Loretta Arens was born August 31, 1901, at Loretto, MN, a daughter of John and Rosella Arens. She attended rural schools in the Flaxton area, where she farmed with her family. She married Vivian Donahue on November 19, 1926, at Minot, and they farmed in the area southeast of Flaxton. He passed away August 28, 1971, and she continued to make her home in the area, except for winters spent in California.

She entered the St. Aloisius Nursing Home at Harvey in 1979.

She was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church of
Bowbells and of the Altar Society of the church, and of the Legion of Mary at San Bernardino, Ca.
Survivors include one son, Raymond of Lignite; three daughters, Mrs. Dolores Grasser of San Bernardino, Ca., Mrs. Ed (Mary Ellen) Gumeringer of Esmond and Mrs. Francis (Bernadine) Gallagher of Glasgow, Mt.; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
