He played seven seasons in the Major Leagues primarily as a catcher with the New York Highlanders and Buffalo Buffeds. He played collegiate baseball at Bucknell University before making his major league debut in 1907 at the age of 23. He appeared in 442 games during his professional career. He finished his playing career with three home runs, 272 hits, 106 runs batted in and a .217 lifetime batting average. Following his playing career he served as a baseball coach at the University of Pittsburgh and Bucknell University. He was inducted into the Bucknell Hall of Fame in 1987. (bio by: Nils M.
