Anna (Anita) Fanti, 84, of Exeter, passed away peacefully at her home Monday, June 6, 2016.

Born in Tunkhannock, she was the daughter of the late John and Susan Yurchsin Pivarnik.

She was a member of St. Barbara Parish at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter, and she attended West Pittston schools.

Anita had worked at the former Rex Shoe Factory, Exeter, but for the most part she was a homemaker, taking care of her husband and children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edo Fanti, in 2013; sisters, Susan Maines and Mary Werts; and a daughter-in-law, Mary Pambianco, in 1999.

Surviving are her sons, Mario (Kelly) Fanti, Exeter; and Joseph (Rita Delaney), Exeter; granddaughter, Jocelyn; a sister, Elizabeth (Anthony) Luczak, West Pittston; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday from Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Barbara Parish in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 28 Memorial St., Exeter.

Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.

Relatives and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
