Eunice L. Tanner, 90, of Gowrie, formerly of Fort Dodge, died Sunday, Sept.10, 2006 at the Gowrie Care Center.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Jim Davis and Pastor Donald Wahlgren officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery, Ft. Dodge. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her brothers; Howard Rude and his wife, Frances of Gowrie and Glenn Rude and his wife LaVon of Ft. Dodge. She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Ebon (Anderson) Rude, husband June E. Tanner in 1951, brothers; Ronald Rude and LeRoy Rude, sister; Thelma Claude.
Eunice L. Rude was born August 23, 1916 at Fonda. She graduated from Pomeroy High School and attended cosmetology school in Des Moines. Eunice married June E. Tanner in 1944 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Ft. Dodge. They established their home in Ft. Dodge. Eunice was employed with Younkers Store in Ft. Dodge for several years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
