He served in the US Navy in WWII, and worked for years at General Electric in Liverpool. He was an avid hunter & fisherman, enjoyed playing cards and travel.

Everett F Gantley, 80, of Cayuga Street, Fulton, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, at St. Joseph's Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Vermillian and lived in the Fulton area most of his life. He retired in 1980 alter 20 years at General Electric Co.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Fulton and VFW Post 369.
Surviving are his wife, Esther A.; three sons, Dennis T of Fulton and Everett W. and Joseph E., both of Cupertino, Calif,; a daughter, Maria L. Murdoch of Phoenix; a brother, Francis C. of Fulton; a sister, Eileen Goins of Thayer, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Friday, Jan. 17, at Young & Son Funeral Home and at the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Fulton, his grandson, the Rev. Mark J. Gantley officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery
