A native of Yancey County, Mrs. Silvers had resided in Buncombe County for most of her life. She was a graduate of Lee Edwards High School, and retired as a CNA with CarePartners.
Mrs. Silvers was the daughter of Margaret Cooper Baker, and the late Dewey Lee Baker. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Messer; son, Kenneth Messer; and a sister, Linda McNeil.
Surviving are her husband, Ronald E. “Ron” Silvers; children: Pamela M. Sprinkle (George, Sr.) and Jeremy Silvers; grandchildren: Nathan Troutman and Jessica Honeycutt (Nathan); great-grandchildren: Haley and Rylee Honeycutt; brother, Gerald Baker (Candace); and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at The Chapel of Trinity Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Ralph Sexton, Jr. and Rev. Allen Rash officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.
