"Dave" was born in Kankakee, Illinois to parents Catherine (nee Schaefer) and David Reiss. He worked for L&N Railroad in Kentucky and Tennessee. Married Margaret Jane (Jennie) Smith of Danville, KY. Dave became a tool and die maker. He was a machinist/partner in a machine shop in Indianapolis, IN before accepting employment at Hughes Tool and moving his family to Houston. He is survived by his loving wife Jennie, and children: Joseph J. Reiss, Mary C. Pleasant, Jeanette Bay, and Margaret Kathryn Wimberly;twelve grandchildren and several gr-grandchildren. Lifelong member of the Roman Catholic Church. Burial service on May 10, 1962.
