Ignacio Ezcurra
Birth: Oct. 8, 1939
Death: May 8, 1968

Journalist. Born in San Isidro, Argentina, he studied at the University of Missouri and soon became one of the leading journalists of his time. Ezcurra was best known for his work as the Vietnam's War correspondent for the Argentinian newspaper La Nación. He disappeared while staying in Saigon with the journalist Oriana Fallaci; a photograph taken by a Japanese journalist later revealed that he had been murdered by Vietcong guerillas, but his remains have never been found. Ezcurra also wrote several chronicles about racial problems in the United States, interviewed Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy, and reported the conflicts in the Middle East the guerrilla warfare in El Salvador. The book "Hasta Vietnam" collected Ezcurra's articles about the Vietnam War. (bio by: José L Bernabé Tronchoni)
