Bonnie Sullivan Crusenberry and Harry E. "Bud" Crusenberry, Jr.

Services for Bonnie Sullivan Crusenberry, 76, and her husband, Harry E. "Bud" Crusenberry Jr., 83, Saltville, Virginia were held Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003 at D.R. Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Bangle officiating. Graveside services were Friday morning at Mount Rose Cemetery with military rites performed by Saltville VFW Post #7328. Services were under the direction of D.R. Henderson Funeral Home of Saltville, Va.

Bonnie and Harry died September 23, 2003 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.

Bonnie was born and raised in Sulphur. She and Harry met during World War II when he was stationed at the Ardmore Air Base. They were married by the Calvary Baptist Pastor in January, 1946. They had one daughter, Sherry, who was born in Sulphur. Later, they moved to Harry's home in Saltville, Va. Bonnie was a devoted wife and mother.

Harry was a member of Saltville VFW " Hardy Roberts" Post #7328. He was an avid fisherman.

They were preceded in death by their daughter, Sherry Nipper, Bonnie's parents, Ramona Ashton Sullivan Albright and Harrol Sullivan; Bonnie's sister, Marjorie Sullivan Skidmore; Harry's parents and his two sisters.

They are survived by their son-in-law, Roger Nipper, Marion, Va.; granddaughter, Laura and husband, Jeff Peck, Derby Kan.; two great grandchildren, Sheldon and Allison Peck; cousins, David and Melva McClure and family; Lucretia McClure Thompson and her husband, Francis Thompson; and two nieces, Martha Moore, Saltville, Va. and Melinda Haynes, Meadowview, Va.
Pallbearers were Phillip Holmes, Jeff Peck, Al Carter, Eddie Morand, Douglas Heffinger, Jerry Forrester, Jerry Catron and Harry Haynes. Honorary Pallbearers were members of the VFW Post 7328.
