At the time Adam Dick and Johann Jonas Wolf lived near Abbottstown, Pennsylvania it was in York County and now it is in Adams County.
Appollona Dick was born on Thursday, August 14, 1738 on the Ocean Voyage about the time of arrival to America. In some of the information I found Appollona was also spelled Appolona. Appollona Dick was the first child of Adam and Anna Ottilla Knack Dick (I have found later that there are other children listed on the ship passenger list with Anna Ottilla Knack Dick). So there are probably children older than Appolloa. They were passenger on the Ship "Rob and Alice", Walter Goodman Master, from Rotterdam. Adam Dick and family were listed as immigrants to America, September 11, 1738, arriving at Philadelphia. Appollona Dick married Johann Jonas Wolf about 1760-1761. Proof that Appollona Dick married Johann Jonas Wolf is in the York County Courthouse records, Book 2D, page 255. " Adam Dick of Berwick Township, to Jonas Wolf and John Horner, Jr., both of Berwick Township, in return for life rent and support of Adam Dick and his wife Anna Otilla Dick, and for payment to certain heirs, 180 acres in Berwick Township". Appollona and Johann Jonas were the parents of ten children. The children were Jacob F., Appolona, John, Catherine, Adam, John Jonas, Christia, John Frederick, Maria, and Andrew. Appollona lived longer then Jonas by approximately six years. A petition for settlement of her estate, dated June 26, 1793 lists all the children metioned in her husband's will except John Jonas and Appolona, both of whom were no longer living. There is a copy of Jonas Wolf's will in the book: "Jonas Wolf of Berwick Township, York County, Pennsylvania", by J. Arthur Wolfe - 1987. Appolona Dick Wolf died on June 26, 1791 at Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. Appollona Dick Wolf was buried beside her husband. This note was complied by Bessie Patterson McDowell from the sourses listed above and information from Tad D. Campbell of Gilroy, California and Virginia Wolf Baker of Hiawatha, Kansas.
