He was a member of Talbott Baptist Church. He owned and operated Jack Day Auto for over 25 years. He was known for his great sense of humor, self-less generosity, and impeccable work ethic. He was a wonderful son, father, and grandfather who took great care of his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Day; mother, Pauline Dalton; as well as one brother and one sister.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Thursday morning at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service.
