Betty J. Pryka, age 90, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016, with loving family by her side. Born in Perrysburg Township on July 3, 1925, Betty is the daughter of Rosa and David Allen.

She worked as a clerk in the trucking industry where she met her husband Daniel. She enjoyed sewing, fishing, traveling and gatherings with Silent Sisters, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Daniel; sisters, Pauline Fuller, Grace Miller, Patsy Stotz, and Nellie Allen; brothers, Delphos, Carl, and Burley Allen and brother-in-law, James Pryka; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Bork, Alice Paszczykowski, and Rosemarie (Suzie) Pryka; nieces, Joyce Canon and Janet Harding; nephews, James and Donald Allen, and Howard Fuller; and special friend and neighbor, Carol Schneider.

She is survived by brother-in-law, Ray (DeAnn) Pryka and sister-in-law Marilyn Pryka; nieces, Luella (Carl) Newman, Janet (Richard Jr) Evearitt, Marilyn Allen, Sandra Allen, Denise Davis, Loretta Seward, and Renee (Jim) Valtin; nephews, Marvin (Phyllis), Robert (Cathy) Fuller, Alvin (Lillian) Miller, Randy (Shelley) Pryka and Allen Pryka. She is also survived by cousin and special friend, Shirley Carvatt, many great-nieces and nephews, and family and friends including her feline companion Grey.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 18, 2016, from 2-8 p.m. at The Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Ave. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at 12 p.m. at Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe Street, Sylvania, Ohio. Special Memorial service will follow in May. Memorial contributions may be made to the Toledo Animal Shelter, 640 Wyman St, Toledo Ohio or the Toledo Zoo.
