Samuel Doolittle was my 5th great grandfather. He was born in Middletown, Middlesex Co., CT and died in Middletown. I don't know as yet which area cemetery he is buried in. He was the son of Jonathan Doolittle and Rebecca Ranney. Married 04 July 1751 to Elizabeth Hubbard. Father of 11 including my 4th great grandfather Samuel Doolittle. He served in the American Revolution as well as 4 of his sons and 3 sons-in-law. His sons serving were Samuel, Ephraim, Major Joel, and Gen. George Doolittle. One son-in-law that I know of was Josiah Mosher, husband of daughter Rebecca.
